WRT610N Wireless Broadband Router Reviews

I bought the WRT610N after reading many reviews of other routers. This router allows dual band use, was very easy to set up, and is much faster than my old belkin g router. Connections with comcast are more reliable -- for comcast. This router allows the use of the best type of security.
I had a netgear router and I constantly lost connection and needed to reset the router. So far I have had no issues with the WRT610N linksys, I always have between 4 and 5 bars with high speeds. Setup was quick and easy, just followed the simple instructions and it was ready to go. Worth the price.
Bought this WRT610N AP to replace an aging 802.11g unit. Using with a Linksys WET610N to stream high-def video to my Playstation and it works like a champ. Getting 160Mbps data rates through a couple of plaster/wire lath walls which is impressive. Easily enough bandwidth to stream video, and has solved the issues I had with playing games online with the PS3. Dual band is a nice feature: I can use the 5GHz band for streaming media and online gaming, and 2.4GHz for the laptop/desktops. 5GHz band has much less interference, too. Have no trouble hitting higher MCS rates.

I bought WRT610N because of the dual radio and AN bands. Plus there are only two routers that have dual radio, AN band and gigabyte switch that will accept dd-wrt firmware. So as soon I got it I did not even tested how it work I put dd-wrt on it and walla. Its what I want it ... I love it, it works perfectly.
Okay Vista has been out since 2006. We are in 2009! Linksys needs to get with the program and need to update their software to support vista. the Cd loads but will not install the software therefore you would have to configure the router manually from the router's page. The software LELA would be nice to use because it gives you the map of everyone on your network. and can enhance your wireless speed. but since i can't install it i miss out on that. Thanks Linksys for not using Vista!
